Earlier this year Dr. Jonathan Koomey spoke at the DCD Conference in San Francisco. Dr. Jonathan Koomey is a research fellow at the Steyer-Taylor Center for Energy Policy and Finance at Stanford University. He has worked on recommendations for US policy makers on ways to promote energy efficiency and to prevent pollution.
Dr. Koomey spoke about how in his view Predictive modeling (Predictive DCIM) is now an essential tool for data center operators and spoke in some detail on how only predictive modeling can provide operators with the ability to maximize efficiency, capacity and resilience in today’s complex data center environments.
